YAKHNI

Ingredients

  1: chicken 1 kg (get extra pieces of neck and back)

  2: onions 2 large

  3: ginger and garlic paste 2tbs

  4: cumin seeds 2tbs

  5: black cardamom 4

  6: cinnamon stick 1 large piece

  7: black peppercorn 2tbs

  8: cloves 1tbs

  9: coriander seeds 3tbs

 10: salt 2tbs

 11: water 16 cups

 

Instructions

  1. 1: in a large pot add chicken, all spices, ginger & garlic, and salt mix well.

    2: wait for a boil on a high flame, then lower the flame to low to medium cover and cook for 20 to 30 minutes.

    3: strain the stock, if you like you can shred the chicken and serve it in the soup or just the stock. 

    4: serve hot
