SWEET AND SPICY CHICKEN SLIDERS

Delight your taste buds with these Sweet and Spicy Chicken Sliders. Perfect for parties or a delicious dinner, these sliders pack a punch of flavour with juicy chicken mince, vibrant veggies, and melted mozzarella. Let's dive into this mouthwatering recipe.

Ingredients

For the Filling:

- 2 to 3 tbsp oil

- 1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste

- 1 kg chicken mince

- 2 tsp crushed red chilli

- 1 tsp crushed black pepper

- 1 ½ tsp paprika powder

- 1 tsp salt

- 1 tsp oregano

- 2 tbsp vinegar

- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce

- 1 tbsp sugar

- 8 tbsp tomato ketchup

- 6 tbsp mayonnaise

- 2 cups bell pepper (deseeded & chopped)

- 2 cups cabbage (sliced)

- 3 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)

 

Other Ingredients:

- 12 medium-sized burger buns

- 300g Mozzarella cheese (or as much as you like)

- 1 tbsp melted butter

- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (to sprinkle on the buns)

- 1 tsp oregano

  1. 1. Preheat Oven:

       Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F), Gas Mark 4.

     

    2. Prepare the Filling:

       - Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ginger & garlic paste and fry for 1 minute.

       - Add chicken mince and stir continuously until the chicken changes colour.

       - Mix in crushed red chilli, black pepper, paprika, salt, oregano, vinegar, dark soy sauce, sugar, and ½ cup of water. Cover and cook on medium flame until the water evaporates.

       - Stir in tomato ketchup and mayonnaise, cooking for another 2 to 3 minutes on medium flame.

       - Add bell pepper and cabbage. Cook on high flame for 2 to 3 minutes until veggies are tender.

       - Finally, mix in chopped coriander leaves.

     

    3. Assemble the Sliders:

       - Place burger buns on a baking tray. Top the bottom halves with a layer of Mozzarella cheese.

       - Add the prepared chicken filling over the cheese, then add another layer of Mozzarella cheese.

       - Cover with the top halves of the buns.

     

    4. Bake:

       - Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and oregano.

       - Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake until the cheese melts and the buns are warm.

     

    5. Serve:

       Serve hot with fries, your favourite cold drinks, and dipping sauces. Enjoy!
