Ingredients

For Marination:

 1: chicken pieces 1 kg (thigh & drumsticks)

 2: lemon juice 5 to 7 tbsp

 3: salt 1 tsp

 4: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 5: crushed black pepper 1 tsp

 6: red chilli powder 1 tsp

 7: cumin seeds 1 & 1/2 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 8: chaat masala 1 tsp

 9: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp

 10: dry fenugreek leaves 1 tbsp

 11: food colour 1/4 tsp

 12: oil 4 tbsp & butter 25g (for cooking)

 13: green chilli 4 (sliced)

Instructions

  1. 1: in a bowl add chicken and all ingredients under marination, mix well, and keep aside for 2 hours.

    2: in a pot add oil, and butter and let it heat.

    3: add green chili, and marinated chicken, and fry for first 2 minutes on high flame and then change sides and fry on high flame for a further 2 minutes.

    4: now cover the chicken and cook on low to medium till the chicken is cooked completely and no liquid is left, keep changing sides so it cooks evenly.

    5: serve hot with roti, and Mint Chutney.
