Special Mash Daal

Ingredients

 1: oil 3/4 cup

 2: green chilli 3 (chopped)

 3: ginger & garlic paste 1 & 1/2 tbsp

 4: tomatoes 4 medium (grind)

 5: crushed black peppercorn 1/2 tsp

 6: turmeric 1/4 tsp

 7: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 8: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

 9: dry fenugreek leaves 2 tbsp

10: cumin seeds 3 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

11: corainder seeds 3 tsp  (dry roasted & crushed)

12: thick yogurt 3 tbsp

13: boneless chicken 700g (cut in small cubes)

14: mash dal 500g (washed & soaked for 4 hours and then boiled with turmeric 1 tsp till got tender)(Split and skinned black gram lentil) 

15: garam masala powder 1 tsp

16: green coriander hand full

17: bullet green chilli 3 (sliced)

Instructions

  1.  1: heat oil add green chilli, ginger & garlic paste, tomatoes mix and cook on high flame till the oil separates.

     2: then add crushed black pepper, turmeric, red chilli, salt, fenugreek leaves, cumin, coriander, yogurt mix well on high flame.

     3: now add the chicken pieces mix and cook on high flame for 2 minutes, add 1 cup of water and cook on medium flame till the chicken is tender and oil separates.

     4: then add the boiled mash dal, garam masala powder mix and simmer on low flame for 8 minutes.

     5: now add fresh coriander, green chilli mix well.

     6: serve hot with naan, roti.
