SHIKARPURI CHICKEN KARAHI

Ingredients

 

 

1: chicken 1 kg

2: tomatoes 6

3: onions 2 large

4: ginger 2 to 3 inch piece

5: garlic 8 to 10 pieces

6: apple 1 medium

7: green chilli 6

8: thick greek yogurt 6 tbsp

9: milk powder 4 tbsp

10: cream 4 tbsp

11: black pepper 1 & 1/2 tsp

12: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

13: turmeric 1/2 tsp

14: crushed red chilli 2 tsp (heaped)

15: achar oil 3 tbsp

16: achar 1 & 1/2 tsp

17: bullit green chilli 3 (chopped)

18: ginger 1 inch (sliced)

19: fresh coriander 4 tbsp

20: oil, ghee 3/4 cup

 

 

Instructions

  1. SHIKARPURI CHICKEN KARAHI

    1: grind the onions, tomatoes, green chilli, ginger and keep aside.

    2: grind the garlic and keep aside.

    3: remove the seeds and grind the apple and strain it and keep the juice aside.

    4: heat the ghee add the garlic and fry it, then add the chicken and fry on high flame till changes colour, remove the chicken and place in a bowl.

    5: now add the grind masala, crushed red chilli, salt, black pepper, turmeric, mix well and cook on medium to high flame till thw liquid is almost dried.

    6: add apple juice, yogurt, chicken and mix, cover and cook on low to medium till oil comes on surface.

    7: then add cream, milk powder, achar and its oil, mix and simmer on low flame for 4 minutes.

    8: add corainder, ginger, green chilli mix.

    9: serve hot with naan.
