PUNJABI MUTTON RECIPE

Ingredients

To  Marinate:

 1: mutton 1 kg

 2: red chilli powder 1 tsp

 3: turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

 4: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp

 5: lemon juice 4 tbsp

 6: coriander powder 1 tbsp

 7: black pepper powder 1/2 tsp

 8: cumin powder 2 tsp

 9: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 10: salt 1 tsp

 11: yogurt 1 cup

 To Masala:

 1: onions 2 large (cut in cubes)

 2: tomatoes 4 medium (cut n cubes)

 3: green chilli 5 (chop)

 4: ginger 3 inch piece (cut roughly)

 5: dry fenugreek leaves 3 tbsp

 6: oil 1/2 cup

 7: oil 1/4 cup

  1. 1: marinate meat with all the ingredients under marination, mix well, and keep aside for 30 minutes.

    2: heat 1/4 cup oil and add onions, fry till gets soft, on high flame.

    3: then add the tomatoes, green chilli, ginger and fry on high flame for 5 to 8 minutes leave to cool, and then grind to a paste.

    4: heat oil add the marinated meat, and fry on high flame till changes color.

    5: now add the fried onion and grid mixture, add water and 2 glasses mix cover, and cook on low to medium flame till the meat is tender and the oil comes on the surface.

    6: add fenugreek leaves and cook on high flame for 5 to 10 minutes.

    7: Served hot with RotiNaan
