Punjabi Butter Chicken

Ingredients

 

 Chicken Marination:

 1: boneless chicken 1 kg (cut in cubes)

 2: oil 2 tbsp

 3: ginger & garlic paste 2 tsp

 4: garam masala powder 1/2 tsp

 5: salt 1/2 tsp

 6: red chilli powder 1/2 tsp

 7: yogurt 1 cup

 

 For Curry:

 1: unsalted butter 75g

 2: oil 2 tbsp

 3: cumin seeds 2 tsp

 4: onion 2 large (grind)

 5: ginger & garlic paste 1 & 1/2 tbsp

 6: tomatoes 3 large (grind)

 7: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 8: salt 1 tsp

 9: sugar 1 tbsp

 10: red food colour 1/4 tsp

 11: milk 1/4 cup

 12: cream 1/2 cup

 13: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 14: dry fenugreek leaves 2 tsp

 

 For Garnishing:

 1: cream 

 2: butter

 
 

Instructions

  1. Punjabi Butter Chicken

     1: in a bowl add chicken with all ingredients under marination, mix well and keep aside for 1 hour.

     2: in a pan add the marinated chicken and cook on medium flame till tender and all liquid dries.

     3: melt butter with oil add cumin seeds, onion, ginger & garlic paste and fry on high flame till changes colour.

     4: then add tomatoes, red chilli powder, salt, sugar, food colour, milk, cream mix well and add the cooked chicken, mix well and cook on high flame for a few minutes.

     5: add garam masala powder, dry fenugreek leaves mix and simmer on low flame for a few minutes.

     6: serve hot with naan.
