PULLED CHICKEN SANDWICH

Ingredients

1: 1 kg skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 

2: Salt 1/2 ts

3: 1 onion, finely chopped

4: 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped

5: 1 1/3 cups barbecue sauce

6: 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

7: Hot pepper sauce 1 tbs

8: 6 buns split

9: 1&1/2 cups shredded cheese 

10: pepper 1/2 ts

11: lettuce leaves 6 

Instructions

  1. PULLED CHICKEN SANDWICH

    1: Season the chicken with salt and pepper and place in a heavy pot with the onion, garlic, and just enough water to cover (about 1-1/2 cups). Add the barbecue sauce, vinegar, and hot sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the chicken is cooked through about 20 minutes. Remove the chicken from the sauce and shred it with two forks.

    2: Boil the sauce on high flame, skimming occasionally, until reduced  & gets thick, then add the shredded chicken mix well.

    3: Place lettuce leaves, spoon the mixture onto the warm rolls, and top with the cheese.

    4: enjoy.

    NOTE: can served with coleslaw, corn, and fries.
