POTATO & RICE CUTLET

Ingredients

1: potatoes 1/2 kg (boiled & mashed)

2: boiled rice 1 cup

3: chaat masala powder 1/2 tsp

4: salt 1/2 tsp

5: red chilli powder 1/2 tsp

6: black pepper powder 1/2 tsp

7: ginger & garlic paste 1 tsp

8: green chilli 2 (finely chopped)

9: corn flour 1 & 1/2 tbsp (can use more to make the mixture firm)

10: fresh coriander 2 tbsp

11: oil for frying

Instructions

  1. POTATO & RICE CUTLET

    1: in a bowl add potatoes, rice and all spices, green chili, and coriander, and mix well.

    2: now add the corn flour and mix it well, make sure the mixture is not soft, it needs to be firm.

    3: grease your palms and make small bite-sized balls and then flatten them.

    4: heat oil, make sure the oil is very hot or it will spoil the cutlets.

    5: add the cutlets and fry till golden, on medium flame.

    6: Served hot with chutney of your choice.

    NOTE: make sure the mixture is firm or the oil will get in it. make sure the oil is boiling or it will get in the cutlets or the cutlets will break. only fry them once you are ready to serve or will get soft. you can freeze them for 2 weeks.
