Ingredients

1: pizza dough OR use ready-made crust

2: pizza sauce OR use ready-made sauce 1&1/2 cup

3: mozzarella cheese 3 cups

4: black olives 10 (sliced)

5: bell-pepper 1 small (finely sliced)

6: salami 25 slices

7: 8-inch loose bottom cake tin

8: baking paper 1

9: baking tray 1

Instructions

  1. PIZZA CAKE

     

     Preheat Oven 200c, 400f, Gas Mark 6.

    1: dust the working surface and knead the dough for 1 minute.

    2: roll the dough 1/4 inch use the bottom of the cake tin and cut the dough, you will need 5 round pieces.

    3: Place the round dough on the baking tray and bake for 8 minutes for each of the round dough pieces.

    4: once baked keep on the cooling rack.

    5: now dust the surface roll the remaining dough and cut the size of the side of the cake tin leaving 1 inch on the top.

    6: Place the baking paper in the cake tin and Carefully drape a long strip of dough around the inside edge of the pan to the line, leaving 1 inch hanging over the outside edge of the pan and the bottom of the pan open. Pinch seam to seal.

    7: Carefully place 1 partially baked crust round in the bottom of the pan. Spread pizza sauce over the crust and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, bell pepper, olives, and then salami (when the cheese melts, the crust above will stick to it). Repeat to make 4 more layers.

    8: Fold the overhanging dough over the top layer of the pizza cake to make a raised crust edge.

    9: bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

    10: Once completely baked, cool in a pan for 5 minutes. Remove the pizza cake from the pan. Use a sharp knife to cut slices like you would a cake.

    11: serve and enjoy.
