Patta Gobhi Aloo Matar Ki Sabzi

Ingredients

1: oil 1/3 cup

 2: onion 1 medium (chopped)

 3: cumin seeds 1 tsp

 4: Asafoetida 1/4 tsp

 5: green chilli 3 (chopped)

 6: ginger & garlic paste 2 tsp

 7: tomatoes 3 medium (grind)

 8: salt 1 tsp (heaped)

 9: red chilli powder 1 tsp (heaped)

 10: turmeric 1/4 tsp

 11: coriander powder 1 tbsp

 12: potatoes 1/2 kg (peeled & cut in cubes)

 13: frozen peas 1 cup

 14: cabbage 1 kg (sliced)

 15: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 16: dry fenugreek leaves 2 tbsp

 17: green chilli 3

Instructions

  1. 1: heat oil add onion, cumin seeds, asafoetida, green chilli, ginger & garlic paste mix and fry on high flame till slightly changes colour.

    2: now add tomatoes, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, water 1/2 cup mix and cook on medium flame till the oil comes on the surface.

    3: add the potatoes and cook on high flame for 2 minutes.

    4: now add peas, and cabbage mix well covered and simmer on low flame till the potatoes and cabbage are tender and oil comes on the surface.

    5: add garam masala powder, dry fenugreek leaves, green chilli mix and cook on high flame for a few minutes.

    6: serve hot with roti, or paratha.
