MOONG DAL MAKHANI RECIPE

Ingredients

1: split yellow mung lentils 500g (wash & soak for 10 minutes in water)

 2: tomatoes 6 (chopped)

 3: green chilli 6

 4: curry leaves 15

 5: fresh coriander 1 cup

 6: butter 200g

 7: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 8: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 9: salt 1 tsp

 10: fresh garlic 2 tbsp (crushed)

 11: dry roasted & crushed cumin seeds 4 tsp

 12: crushed red chilli 4 tsp

 13: oil 1/3 cup

Instructions

  1.  1: boil water & add dal, turmeric,  when the water boils again then boil dal for 5 minutes, drain the water.

     2: in a pot add oil, butter heat it on high flame.

     3: then add fresh garlic, fry on high flame till changes colour.

     4: now add crushed red chilli, cumin crushed, salt, tomatoes cook on high flame till the tomatoes get soft and no liquid    is left.

     5: add the boiled dal, green chilli mix cover and simmer on low flame for 10 minutes.

     6: then add garam masala powder, coriander mix.

     7: serve hot with roti, mint chutney.
