MATAR KEEMA PILAU

Ingredients

1: mutton mince 1 kg

 2: Rice 750g

 3: peas ½ kg

 4: onions 2 medium (chopped)

 5: tomatoes 3 medium (grind)

 6: Ginger & Garlic Paste 2 tbsp

 7: chicken knorr cubes 4 (mixed with hot water) or chicken stock or water (Check My Yakhni Recipe)

 8: green chilli 6 (finely chopped)

 9: salt 2 tsp

 10: red chilli powder 1 tsp

 11: Garam Masala Powder 1 tsp

 12: turmeric ½ tsp

 13: coriander 1 tbsp

 14: cumin powder 2 tsp

 15: cumin seeds 2 tsp

 16: green cardamom 5

 17: black cardamom 2

 18: cinnamon stick 1

 19: black pepper corn 8

 20: cloves 8

 21: dry fenugreek leaves 3 tbsp

 22: oil 1 cup 

Instructions

  1.  1: heat oil add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves, black pepper corn, green cardamom, black cardamom, onions and fry till gets golden, on high flame.

     2: add ginger & garlic paste, fry for 2 minutes on high flame.

     3: now add tomatoes, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder mix and cook on high flame till   the oil comes on surface.

     4: then add green chilli, mince mix well and cook till the oil comes on surface, on high flame.

     5: add garam masala powder, fenugreek leaves, peas, water 1 cup mix and cook on medium flame, till the oil comes on surface.

     6: now add the washed rice, stock mix, cook on high flame till the water dries.

     7: then cover the lid with a tea towel, cook on high flame for 5 minutes and the simmer on low for 10 minutes.

     8: serve hot and enjoy.

     

     NOTE: you can make it with chicken stock, water or knorr cubes, your choice and taste for salt to your choice too.
