Mash Dal Gosht Recipe

Ingredients

 1: oil 1/2 cup

 2: cinnamon sticks 2 pieces

 3: cloves 8

 4: black peppercorn 15

 5: cumin seeds 2 tsp

 6: black cardamom 3

 7: onions 2 large (grind)

 8: ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp

 9: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp (heaped)

10: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp (heaped)

11: turmeric 1/2 tsp

12: tomatoes 4 large (grind)

13: mutton 1 kg

14: water 2 & 1/2 glasses (or as much required to cook the meat)

15: mash dal 400g (skinless split black gram lentil) (soaked over night and then boiled in water till gets tender)

16: garam masala powder 1 tsp

17: fresh ginger 2 & 1/2 inch (Julian cut)

18: bullet green chilli 4 (sliced)

19: fresh coriander hand full

Instructions

  1.  1: heat oil add cinnimon sticks, cloves, black peppercorn, cumin seeds, black cardamom, onion, ginger & garlic paste and fry till gets golden on high flame.

     2: then add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, tomatoes mix well and cook on high flame till the oil seperates.

     3: now add meat and fry it in the curry till changes colour on high flame.

     4: then add water mix well wait for a boil on high flame and then cover and cook on low to medium flame till the meat is tender.

     5: add the boiled daal mix add water 1/2 cup, cover and cook on low to medium flame till the water dries and oil seperates.

     6: then add garam masala, ginger, green chilli, fresh corainder mix well on high flame for 2 minutes.

     7: serve hot with roti, naan, paratha or rice.
