Ingredients

 1: chicken 1 kg

 2: tomatoes 1/2 kg (sliced)

 3: dry fenugreek leaves 1 tbsp

 4: crushed red chilli 3 tsp

 5: salt 1 tsp

 6: cumin seeds 1 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 7: black pepper powder 1/2 tsp

 8: ginger & garlic paste 1 & 1/2 tbsp

 9: butter 50g

 10: oil 1/2 cup

 11: green chilli 7

 12: coal 1 piece

  1. KOYLA KARAHI

    1: heat oil and butter.

     2: add the tomatoes and cook on high flame till the tomatoes reduce and oil comes to the surface.

     3: now add ginger & garlic paste, black pepper powder, crushed red chilli, salt, dry roasted and crushed cumin mix well and add the chicken, cook the chicken on high flame till the chicken changes colour, then add water 1/2 cup mix, wait for a boil on high flame and then cover and cook on low to medium till the chicken is cooked and oil comes on surface.

     4: then add the dry fenugreek leaves, and green chilli and cook on high flame for 1 & 1/2 minutes.

     5: heat the coal, place it on foil add some oil and cover till the smoke settles.

     6: Served hot with naan, and roti.
