Korean Bread Croquettes

Ingredients

For Filling:

 1: potatoes 1/2 kg (boiled & mashed)

 2: eggs 4 (boiled & mashed)

 3: onion 1 medium (finely chopped)

 4: pickled gherkin 1 & 1/2 tbsp (finely chopped)

 5: chicken sausages 2 (chopped)

 6: frozen mix vegetables 1 cup heaped (place in hot water for 5 minutes and then drain the water completely)

 7: sesame seeds 2 tbsp

 8: black pepper powder 1 tsp

 9: salt 1 tsp

10: white pepper powder 1 tsp

11: crushed red chilli 1 tsp

12: mayonnaise 1/3 cup

 

 For Batter:

 1: eggs 2

 2: milk 1 cup

 3: salt 1/2 tsp

 4: cornflour 1/2 cup

 5: plain flour 3/4 cup 

 

 To Assemble:

 1: white bread slices

 2: bread crumbs

 3: oil for deep frying

 4: ketchupmayonnaisebbq sauce

Instructions

  1. 1: in a bowl add all ingredients under filling mix well.

     2: in a bowl add egg, milk and beat to combine.

     3: then add salt, cornflour, plain flour and beat well to make a smooth batter.

     4: take the filling and place it on a slice on bread and place the other slice of bread on the top and press down so the filling flattens.(can spread with your hands to the filling on the bread).

     5: dip the bread in the batter and then roll it in the dry bread crumbs and make sure the sides are sealed well.

     6: heat oil.

     7: place the stuffed bread in hot oil and fry till gets golden on both sides about 3 minutes.

     8: once fried place on paper towel or wire rack to remove extra oil.

     9: serve hot with any sauce of your choice.
