KIBBEH (Kibe)

Ingredients

Outer Coating:

 

1: bulgur wheat 2 cups (washed & soaked in water for 30 minutes)

2: onion 1 large

3: beef mince 700g

4: cumin powder 1ts (heaped)

5: crushed black pepper 1 ts (heaped)

6: salt 1&1/2ts

 

 

 

Filling:

 

1: beef mince 300g

2: onion 1 large (finely chopped)

3: pine nuts 3tbs

4: crushed black pepper 1 ts (heaped)

5: salt 1 ts (heaped)

6: cinnamon powder 1 ts

7: oil 2tbs

 

 

Instructions

  1. KIBBEH (Kibe)

     

     

    1: wash bulgur wheat and soak of half hour, then drain the water, make sure it is completely drained.

    2: heat oil in a pan add pine nuts, onions and fry till soft on medium flame.

    3: then add the mince, salt, pepper, cinnamon powder mix well and cook on medium flame till the mince is cooked.

    4: now keep the mince in a strainer and let the extra oil drain, leave to cool.

    5: place the drained bulgur wheat, onion, salt, pepper, cumin powder and grind till gets smooth & keep aside.

    6: then add the mince in the chopper and grind till smooth.

    7: mix both bulgur mixture & mince till combined.

    8: with little water wet your hands and take the mixture a small ball size, poke in the middle and make space for the filling, now add the filling and seal well.

    9: heat oil and fry till golden on medium flame.

    10:serve hot with garlic sauce.
