HOMEMADE PICKLE

Ingredients

1: vinegar 3 cups

2: sugar 1 cup

3: salt 2 tsp

4: mustard seeds 1/2 tsp

5: celery seeds 1/2 tsp

6: dry red chilli 3

7: turmeric 1/4 tsp

8: cucumber 1 cup (cut into 2-inch pieces)

9: carrot 2 medium (peeled & cut into 2-inch pieces)

10: cauliflower 2 cups (cut into small pieces)

11: onion 1 large (cut in cubes)

12: garlic 15 (cut in 2 pieces)

13: green chilli 4 (sliced)

14: salt 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. HOMEMADE PICKLE

     1: in a bowl add the vegetables, salt 1 tbsp mix and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.

     2: then wash the vegetables, and keep them in a strainer to drain water for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

     3: in a pan add vinegar, salt, sugar, turmeric, mustard seeds, celery seeds, dry red chilli mix, and cook on high flame till the sugar dissolves and the mixture boils.

     4: Place the vegetables in a sterilized jar and add the hot liquid in it, leave to cool.

     5: once cooled place in the fridge and use for 2 to 3 months.

     6: Served with sandwiches, meals, BBQ, etc.

    NOTE: do not use a wet or dirty spoon, or will get bad.
