Ginger Chicken Karahi

Ingredients

 For Chicken Marination:

 1: chicken 1 kg

 2: ginger 2 tbsp (crushed)

 3: garlic 1 & 1/2 tsp (crushed)

 

 For Cooking:

 1: oil 1/2 cup

 2: onions 2 large (grind)

 3: black mustard seeds 1 tsp (rai dana)

 4: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

 5: red chilli powder 1tsp

 6: crushed red chilli 1 tsp

 7: cumin seeds 1 & 1/2 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 8: coriander seeds 1 & 1/2 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 9: tomato paste 2 tbsp (heaped)

10: green chilli 7

11: garam masala powder 1 tsp

12: dry fenugreek leaves 2 tsp

13: ginger 2 inch (Julian cut)

14: fresh coriander 4 tbsp

Instructions

  1. 1: marinate chicken with ginger & garlic mix and keep aside for 1/2 hour.

     2: heat oil add onions and fry till gets golden on high flame.

     3: add black mustard seeds, marinated chicken mix well and cook on high flame till the chicken changes colour.

     4: then add salt, red chilli powder, crushed red chilli, cumin, coriander, salt, tomato paste mix well add water 1 cup and wait for a boil on high flame, cover and cook on low to medium flame till the water dries and chicken is tender.

     5: now add garam masala powder, green chilli, dry fenugreek leaves, ginger, fresh coriander mix well.

     6: serve hot with roti, naan, paratha.
