Easy Chicken Curry

Ingredients

 For Marination:

 1: chicken 1 kg

 2: salt 1 tsp

 3: yogurt 1/2 cup

 4: fried onions 2 medium

 

 For Quick Curry:

 1: tomatoes 3 large (or) one can of tomato 400g

 2: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp (heaped)

 3: coriander powder 1 & 1/2 tbsp

 4: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 5: red chilli powder 1 tsp (heaped)

 6: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 7: cumin seeds 1 & 1/2 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 8: green chilli 8 (or) (to your taste)

 9: onions 2 large

 

 Other Ingredients:

 1: oil 1/2 cup

 2: dry fenugreek leaves 1 tbsp

 3: green chilli 4 

Instructions

  1.  1: marinate the chicken with salt, yogurt, fried onions for 1 to 2 hours.

     2: in a blender add all the ingredients under quick curry, grind to a smooth paste. (At this stage you can store this in zip lock bag or plastic container and use it when you require for meat, chicken).

     3: in a pot add oil and the grinned masala and cook on high flame till the oil separates.

     4: now add the marinated chicken mix well, fry on high flame till the chicken changes colour, then add water 1 cup mix and wait for a boil and then cover and cook on low to medium flame till the chicken is tender and oil separates.

     5: then add green chilli, dry fenugreek leaves mix and simmer on low flame for 4 minutes.

     6: serve hot with roti, naan, salad.
