Dhaba Moong Dal Makhani

Ingredients

: split green gram 1/2 kg (soaked over night & boiled till gets tender) (moong dal)

 2: oil 4 tbsp

 3: tomatoes 2 large (grind)

 4: ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp

 5: tomatoes paste 3 tbsp

 6: cream 4 tbsp

 7: butter 60g

 8: oil 4 tbsp

 9: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

10: corainder powder 1 tsp (heaped)

11: cumin seeds 1 tsp (dry roasted & crushed heaped)

12: salt 1 tsp (heaped)

13: fresh coriander hand full

14: bullet green chilli 2 (sliced)

Instructions

  1.  1: heat oil add ginger & garlic paste and fry on high flame till gets golden.

     2: add tomato, tomato paste mix and cook on high flame till the oil separates.

     3: now add the boiled dal, cream cook on medium flame for 2 minutes and then keep aside.

     4: in a frying pan add butter and melt it add oil, red chilli, coriander powder, salt, cumin and cook on low flame for 2 to 3 minutes.

     5: transfer the fried spices on the dal and mix it well.

     6: add fresh coriander, green chilli mix and simmer on low flame for 5 minutes.

     7: garnish it with cream, butter, green chilli.

     8: serve hot with roti, naan.
