Dhaba Chana Dal 2

Ingredients

 

 1: chickpeas 500g (soaked over night) (chana dal)

 2: yellow split lentils 150g (soaked over night) (moong dal)

 3: red lentils 150g (soaked over night) (masoor dal)

 4: onion 1 large (finely sliced)

 5: tomatoes 2 medium (sliced)

 6: garlic paste 1 & 1/2 tbsp

 7: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 8: cumin seeds 1 tbsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 9: turmeric 1 tsp

10: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

11: chicken cubes 2

12: water 1 & 1/2 litre 

 

 Other Ingredients:

 1: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 2: bullet green chilli 3 (sliced)

 3: fresh coriander handful

 

 For Tempering:

 1: oil 1/2 cup

 2: onion small 1 (finely sliced)

 3: cumin seeds 2 tsp

 4: garlic 6 cloves (sliced)

 5: whole dry red chilli 8

  

Instructions

  1. Dhaba Chana Dal 2

     

    1: in a pressure cooker add all ingredients under dal, mix and cook in pressure cooker for 25 mnutes and a normal pot 45 minutes till the dal is tender.

    2: once cooked transfer it in a large pot and cook futher to your choice of thickness.

    3: then add garam masala powder, green chilli, fresh corainder mix will.

    4: heat oil add onions, cumin seeds and fry till changes colour on high flame then add garlic fry till changes colour, add whole red chilli fry for a few seconds and add to the cooked daal.

    5: serve hot with boiled rice, roti, paratha, salad.
