DAL GOSHT

Ingredients

1: masoor dal 1 cup (red lentil) soaked over night

 2: moong dal 1 cup  (yellow split lentil) soaked over night

 3: onion 2 medium 

 4: mutton meat 1 kg

 5: tomatoes 6 small (grinned)

 6: cumin seeds 2 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 7: coriander seeds 2 & 1/2 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 8: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 9: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 10: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

 11: ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp

 12: oil 1 cup

 13: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 

 For Tadka:

 

 1: oil 1/3 cup

 2: button red chilli 7

 3: green chilli 2

 4: fresh coriander handful

 5: cumin seeds 1 tsp 

Instructions

  1. 1: wash both dal and soak over night, then boil it with onion, boil till gets tender, now grind and keep aside.

     2: heat oil add ginger & garlic paste, fry on high flame till changes colour.

     3: now add grinned tomatoes, salt, red chilli, turmeric, cumin, coriander cook on high flame, till the oil comes on   surface.

     4: then add meat and cook till changes colour on high flame, add water wait for a boil then cover and cook on low to   medium till meat is tender and oil comes on surface.

     5: add the dal, garam masala mix well, wait for a boil on high flame, then cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

     6: heat oil 1/3 cup add cumin, red chilli, green chilli, coriander and add it to the dal, mix well.

     7: serve hot with boiled rice, roti.
