CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT CAKE

Ingredients

 For Cake:

 1: plain flour 1 & 3/4 cups

 2: granulated sugar 2 cups

 3: unsweetened cocoa powder 3/4 cup

 4: baking powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 5: baking soda 1 & 1/2 tsp

 6: salt 1 tsp

 7: eggs 2

 8: milk 1 cup

 9: vegetable oil 1/2 cup

 10: hot water 1 cup

 11: vanilla essence 2 tsp

 

 For Filling:

 1: whipping cream 200ml (chilled)

 2: cream cheese 200g (room temperature)

 3: nutella 3/4 cup

 4: powder sugar 2 cups

 5: vanilla essence 1 tsp

 

 For Assembling:

 1: nutella 1/3 cup

 2: ferrero rocher chocolate 12

Instructions

  1. CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT CAKE

     Preheat Oven 350f, 180c, Gas Mark 4.

     1: grease two 8inch cake pans.

     2: sieve flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and mix well with a spoon. Now add the sugar and mix  well with a spoon.

     3: add water, milk, oil, vanilla essence and beat for 2 minutes.

     4: now add the eggs and beat for 40 seconds.

     5: divide the batter in the two can pans, bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until enter is set and toothpick comes out clean.

     6: leave to cool in the tin for 30 minutes, then remove from the tin and let it cool completely on the wire rack.

     7: in a bowl add the chilled cream and beat till gets thick.

     8: in a separate bowl beat cream cheese, Nutella till combined, then add the vanilla, powder sugar and beat till  combined.

     9: now add the cream in the Nutella mixture and beat till thick.

     10: place one cake on a serving plate upside down spread a thick layer of whipped mixture, top the other cake on it  upside down and press slightly and spread the remaining cream on top.

     11: now add the Ferrero rocher chocolate on the top.

     12: melt the Nutella in the microwave and drizzle it on the cake.

     13: serve and enjoy :)
