CHICKEN TIKKA HANDI

Ingredients

 1: chicken 1 kg (cut in 12 to 16 pieces)

 2: onions 2 large

 3: thick greek yogurt 1 & 1/2 cup

 4: ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp

 5: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 6: crushed red chilli 1 & 1/2 tsp

 7: salt 1/2 tsp

 8: lemon juice 4 tbsp

 9: tikka masala powder 2 tbsp (readymade)

 10: bullet green chilli 2

 11: fresh coriander 5 tbsp

 12: oil 1/2 cup

 13: coal 1 piece

Instructions

  1. CHICKEN TIKKA HANDI

     1: in a pan boil water add the onions and boil it till gets soft, on high flame, then discard the water and grind the onions to a paste.

     2: heat oil add the grinned onion, ginger & garlic paste, and fry till it changes color on high flame.

     3: now add tikka masala, crushed red chilli, salt, garam masala powder, lemon juice, yogurt mix and add the chicken  mix well, wait for a boil on high flame then cover and cook on low to medium till the chicken is cooked and oil comes on  the surface.

     4: add fresh coriander, green chilli mix and turn off the flame.

     5: heat the coal and place it in a metal bowl add some oil on top and cover till the smoke settles.

     6: Served hot with roti or naan.
