Chicken Tikka Dal

Ingredients

 To Make Chicken Tikka:

 1: boneless chicken 500g

 2: yogurt 2 tbsp 

 3: red chilli powder 1/2 tsp

 4: garam masala powder 1/2 tsp

 5: tikka masala powdder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 6: lemon juice 1 tbsp

 7: salt 1/4 tsp

 8: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp

 9: oil 2 tbsp

10: coal to smoke the chicken

 

 For Curry:

 1: oil 1/2 cup

 2: bellpeppers 3 medium (cut un small cubes and deseeded)

 3: onion 1 large (finely sliced)

 4: ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp

 5: green chilli 4

 6: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 7: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

 8: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 9: chana dal 500g (washed & soaked over night & then boiled)

10 : yogurt 1 cup

11: garam masala powder 1 tsp

12: green chilli 3 (sliced)

Instructions

  1. 1: in a bowl add all ingredients under chicken tikka mix well.

     2: heat oil and add the chicken and cook till changes colour on high flame, then add water 1/2 cup and cook on low to medium flame till the chicken is tender and oil seperates.

     3: heat the coal and smoke the chicken.

     4: heat oil add the bellpeppers and fry for 2 to 3 minutes on high flame and remove and keep aside.

     5: now add onions, ginger & garlic paste and fry on high flame till it gets golden.

     6: add green chilli, boled daal, yogurt mix well and cook on medium flame till the water dries.

     7: now add the fried bellpeppers, chicken tikka, garam masala powder, geen chilli mix well and simmer on low flame for 4 to 6 minutes.

     8: add fresh coriander mix/

     9: serve hot with naan, roti, paratha, rice.
