Chicken Pathani

Ingredients

Chicken Pathani || Chicken Recipe || Chicken Ka Salan || Chicken Curry in Urdu - Hindi By Chef Faiza Zarif

 

 For Marination:

 1: chicken 1 kg

 2: yogurt 1 cup

 3: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 4: garlic 20 cloves (crushed)

 5: dry mango powder 1 tsp (heaped)

 

 Masala Powder:

 1: coriander seeds 1 tbsp

 2: cumin seeds 1 tbsp

 3: green cardamom 6

 4: cinnamon stick 3 pieces

 5: star anise 1

 6: cloves 12

 7: mace 1 piece

 8: black peppercorn 1 tsp

 9: dry red chilli 8

 

 Other Ingredients:

 1: oil 1/2

 2: onion 2 large (grind)

 3: ginger & garlic paste 2 & 1/2 tbsp

 4: bullet green chilli 4 (sliced)

 5: tomatoes 3 large (grind)

 6: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

 7: water 1 cup

 8: cream 1/2 cup

 9: fresh coriander hand full

10: bullet green chilli 4 (cut in half)

Instructions

  1.  1: in a bowl add chicken and all ingredients under marination mix and leave for 1 hour.

     2: heat a frying pan add all dry spices and dry roast till light golden, leave to cool and then grind to a powder.

     3: heat oil add onions, ginger & garlic paste and fry till light golden on high flame.

     4: add green chilli, tomatoes and the masala powder, salt mx well on high flame.

     5: now add the marinated chicken mix add water 1 cup, cover and cook on low to medium flame till the chicken is tender and oil separates.

     6: add cream cook on high flame till the oil separates.

     7: then add fresh coriander, green chilli mix.

     8: serve hot with Roti, Naan, Paratha.
