Chicken Pataka Curry

Ingredients

For Marination:

 1: chicken 1 kg

 2: thick yogurt 2 tbsp

 3: ginger & garlic paste 1 & 1/2 tbsp

 4: lemon juice 1 tbsp

 5: red food colour 1/4 tsp

 6: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 7: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 8: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

 9: black pepper powder 1 tsp

10: chicken masala powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 

 Other Ingredients:

 1: oil 1/2 cup

 2: onions 2 large (finely sliced)

 3: cumin seeds 1 & 1/2 tsp

 4: curry leaves 2 tbsp 

 5: green chilli 6 (cut in half)

 6: garlic cloves 20 (sliced)

 7: red chilli sauce 1 tsp

 8: green chilli sauce 1 tsp

 9: tomato ketchup 3 tbsp

10: water 1 cup

11: fresh coriander hand full

12: green chilli 4

Instructions

  1. 1: in a bowl add all ingredients under marination mix well and prick the chicken with a folk and keep aside for 1 hour.

     2: heat oil add onions, cumin, curry leaves, green chilli, garlic and fry on high flame till the onions turn golden.

     3: then add the marinated chicken, red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, water mix well wait for a boil on high flame then cover and cook on low to medium flame flame till the chicken is tender and oil separates.

     4: add fresh coriander, green chilli mix.

     5: serve hot with roti, naan, rice.
