CHICKEN NAAN POCKETS

Ingredients

 Tawa naan:

 1: all-purpose flour 4 cups

 2: sugar 2 tsp

 3: salt 1 tsp

 4: dry instant yeast 2 tsp

 5: Oil 2 tbs

 6: thick greek yogurt 2/4 cup (room temp)

 7: Water (Luke warm) as required

 

 For Filling:

 1: boneless chicken 1 kg (cut in 1 & 1/2 inch pieces)

 2: thick greek yogurt 1 cup

 3: garam masala powder 1/2 tsp

 4: red chilli powder 1 tsp

 5: salt 1 tsp 

 6: lemon juice 5 tbsp

 7: green chile 2 (Chopped) 

 8: oil 1/3 cup

 9: water 1 cup

 10: coal to smoke the chicken

 

 For Chutney:

 1: fresh mint leaves 20

 2: bullet green chilli 3

 3: fresh coriander 1/2 cup

 4: salt 1/2 tsp

 5: cumin seeds 1 tsp

 6: mayonnaise 1/2 cup

 7: thick greek yogurt 3/4 cup

 

 To Assemble:

 1: onion rings 1 large 

 2: lettuce 2 cups (sliced)

Instructions

  1. CHICKEN NAAN POCKETS

     1: for marination: in a bowl add chicken, yogurt, garam masala powder, salt, red chilli powder, lemon juice, and green chili mix well, cover, and leave it for 20 minutes.

     2: for naan: in a bowl add plain flour, salt, sugar, and yeast mix with a spoon, then add yogurt, and oil add water a little at a time mix and knead the dough, grease the dough and bowl cover and leave till double in size in a warm place.

     3: for chutney: in a blender add all ingredients under chutney and grind till smooth, keep aside.

     4: for chicken: heat oil add the chicken, and water mix well cover, and cook on medium flame till chicken is tender, heat the coal, place it on foil add a little oil cover till the smoke settles.

     5: for naan: now punch down the dough, make small balls, roll in flour, roll it round prick it with a fork, heat the tawa place the naan on it, and cook on medium flame till golden on both sides.

     6: assemble: take naan add chicken, lettuce, onion rings, and chutney.

     7: Served hot with a cold drink.
