Chicken Masala Fry

Ingredients

 

 1: oil 1/2 cup

 2: curry leaves 15 to 20

 3: onions 2 large or 2 medium (grind)

 4: ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp

 5: green chilli 8 (chopped)

 6: tomatoes 3 large (grind)

 7: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 8: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

 9: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 10: chicken 1 kg

 11: Tamarind pulp 1/4 cup

 12: sugar 1 tsp (heaped)

 13: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 14: fresh coriander hand full

  

Instructions

  1. Chicken Masala Fry

     1: heat oil add curry leaves, onion, ginger & garlic paste, green chilli and fry on high flame till gets golden.

     2: now add tomatoes, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric mix and cover and cook on medium flame till the oil comes on the surface.

     3: add chicken and cook on high flame for 4 minutes till it changes colour.

     4: then add a cup of water and cook on low to medium flame till the chicken is tender and oil comes on the surface.

     5: add Tamarind, sugar, green chilli, garam masala powder, fresh coriander mix and cook on high flame for 2 to 4 minutes.

     6: serve hot with roti, naan, boiled rice.
