 For Doughnut:

 1: plain flour 3 & 1/3 cup

 2: sugar 1/4 cup

 3: salted butter 57g (melted)

 4: whole milk 1 cup (warm)

 5: active dry yeast 2 & 1/4 tsp 

 6: egg 1

 7: vanilla extract 1 tsp 

 

 For The Custard:

 1: whole milk 1 cup

 2: sugar 1/4 cup 

 3: egg yolks 2

 4: cornstarch 3 tbsp 

 5: vanilla extract 1 tsp

 

 For The Chocolate Glaze:

 1: powdered sugar 1 cup

 2: unsweetened cocoa powder 3 tbsp

 3: enough milk to make a glaze

 4: vanilla extract 1 tsp  

Instructions

  1. 1: to make the dough: in a bowl add plain flour, sugar, yeast and mix it with a spoon.

     2: warm milk add the melted butter, vanilla mix well.

     3: now add the egg, warm milk mixture and mix well, knead the dough for 5 to 6 minutes and then add oil n the bowl,   place the dough add a little oil cover and keep in a warm place for 2 hours or till the dough doubles in size.

     4: to make the custard: in a pan add the milk, cornstarch, egg yolks, sugar, vanilla and mix well so they are no lumps.

     5: cook on low flame till gets thicks.

     6: seive the custard, cover with cling film, make sure the cling is close to the custard so it does not form a crust, place   in the fridge.

     7: once the dough has doubled, dust some plain flour on the surface, place the dough on it, press down, roll half a inch, use a cutter and cut the dough.

     8: place it on a floured baking tray, cover and keep in a warm place for 45 minutes or till doubles in size.

     9: heat oil to 180c, using a candy thermometer.

     10: place the doughnuts and fry for 2 to 3 minutes or till gets golden on both sides and keep turning, place it on paper   towel and leave to cool completely.

     11: whisk the custard and add it in the piping with a nozel.

     12: take a knife and make holes in the doughnuts.

     13: add the custard in the doughnuts.

     14: to make the glaze: in a bowl add powder sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, milk and mix well.

     15: dip the doughnuts in the glaze, place it on a rack to let the extra glaze drip off.

     16: serve and enjoy.
