Amritsari Dhaba Dal
Ingredients
1: split chickpea (chana dal) 2 cups (soaked overnight & boiled with turmeric 1/2 tsp till tender)
2: white lentils (mash dal) 1 & 1/2 cup (soaked overnight & boiled with turmeric 1/2 tsp till tender)
3: tomatoes 6 (sliced)
4: onions 3 large (finely chopped)
5: fresh ginger 4 inch (finely sliced)
6: dry fenugreek leaves 4 tbsp
7: turmeric 1/2 tsp
8: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp
9: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp
10: garam masala powder 1 tsp
11: unsalted butter 250g
12: knorr chicken cube 1 mixed with 1 glass of hot water
13: Bullet green chilli 6 (sliced)
14: Bullet green chilli 4
15: fresh coriander handful

Amritsari Dhaba Dal
1: heat butter and add the onions, fry till gets soft on high flame.
2: then add tomatoes, salt, red chili, turmeric, and water 1 cup, and cook on high flame till the tomatoes reduce and oil comes on the surface.
3: now add garam masala powder, dry fenugreek leaves, ginger, green chili, and both lentils mix it and add the knorr and water mixture, and cook covered on low flame till the water dries.
4: then add coriander and mix it.
5: sever hot with roti.
