Aloo Methi Keema

Ingredients

1: oil 1/2 cup

2: onion 1 large (finely sliced)

3: ginger & garlic paste 1 & 1/2 tbsp

4: tomatoes 4 medium (sliced)

5: cumin seeds 2 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

6: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

7: turmreic powder 1/2 tsp

8: corainder powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

9: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

10: tomato puree 3 tbsp

11: methi 1 kg (fenugreek leaves only cut finely)

12: mutton mince 1 kg

13: green chilli 3 (chopped)

14: potatoes 1/2 kg (peeled & cut in cubes)

15: green chilli 2 (chopped) 

16: garam masala powder 1 tsp

17: fresh coriander hand full

  1. 1: heat oil add onion, ginger & garlic paste and fry on high flame till gets golden.

    2: then add tomatoes, roasted cumin seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, salt, tomato puree, water 1/2 cup and cook on medium flame till the tomatoes reduce and the masala is made.

    3: now add methi mix and cook on high flame till the water dries which the methi will release and oil comes to the surface.

    4: add the mince and cook on high flame for 15 minutes.

    5: add green chilli, potatoes, water 1 cup mix and wait for a boil on high flame and then cover and cook on low to medium flame till the water dries and potatoes are tender.

    6: add green chilli, garam masala powder, fresh coriander mix and cook on high flame for 1 minute.

    7: Served hot with roti, paratha, boiled rice.
