Aloo Keema Matar

Ingredients

  • Mince 1KG
  • Potatoes 2 Large peeled/cubed
  • Frozen peas 1cup
  • Ginger (Fresh) 2inch thinly chopped
  • Onions 1 large sliced
  • Tomatoes 2 medium-sized sliced
  • Ginger and garlic paste 1tbs
  • Crushed red chilli 1tbs
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp heaped
  • Coriander powder (dhania) 1tbs
  • Cumin seeds (zeera) 1tbs
  • Turmeric powder (haldi)1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1tsp heaped
  • All spices (Garam masala) 1tsp
  • Coriander fresh (dhania) 1/2 bunch
  • Green chillies (hari mirch) 4 sliced
  • Oil OR Ghee 1/4 cup
  • Water 2cups

    1.  In a pan add oil, onions, ginger and garlic paste. Fry till lightly golden brown.
    2. Add mince. Cook till it changes colour and the minced water is entirely dry (high flame).
    3. Once the water drys and oil oozes out, add tomatoes and fresh ginger.
    4. Add crushed chilli, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, salt & coriander powder, mix it well and taste if chilli OR salt is needed more (high flame) cook till tomatoes are reduced and masala is made.
    5. Add potatoes and peas and mix it well.
    6. Add 2 cups of water and cook on low to medium heat and let the water dry till potatoes and peas are cooked.
    7. Once the water is dry add garam masala, fresh coriander, and green chillies (the flame should be high by now)
    8. Cook for 2 minutes and serve hot.
