ACHARI PRAWNS

Ingredients

For Marination:

 1: prawns 1 kg

 2: salt 1 tsp

 3: lemon juice 3 tbsp

 4: ginger & garlic paste 1 & 1/2 tbsp

 For Curry:

 1: black mustard seeds 1 tsp

 2: nigella seeds 1 tsp

 3: fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp

 4: button red chilli 5

 5: cumin seeds 1 tsp

 6: onion 2 medium (grind to a paste)

 7: tomatoes 3 medium (grind to a paste)

 8: red chilli powder 1 tsp

 9: cumin seeds 1 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 10: turmeric 1/4 tsp

 11: garam masala powder 1/2 tsp

 12: coriander seeds 1 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 13: coriander powder 1 tsp

 14: Bullet green chilli 3 (sliced)

 15: fresh ginger 1 inch (Julian)

 16: fresh coriander 3 tbsp

 17: oil 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. ACHARI PRAWNS

    1: marinate the prawns with lemon juice, salt, ginger & garlic paste mix well and leave it for 20 minutes.

    2: heat oil add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, nigella seeds, whole red chilli, cumin seeds and onion paste fry on high flame till slightly changes colour. 

    3: now add tomato paste, red chilli powder, roasted cumin, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and roasted coriander mix well and add the prawns mix and cook on high flame for 8 to 10 minutes the oil comes on the surface.

    4: then add ginger, green chilli, and fresh coriander and mix well.

    5: Served hot with roti or rice.
