ALOO MONGRAY

Ingredients

1: potatoes 3 large(peeled and cubed)

2: mongray 11/2 kg
 
3: onion 1 large (chopped)
 
4: tomatoes 3 medium (sliced)
 
5: green chilli 3
 
6: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbs(heaped)
 
7: dried fenugreek leaves 2 tbs
 
8: red chilli powder 1 tsp
 
9: salt 1 1/2 tsp
 
10: turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
 
11: cumin powder 1 tsp
 
12: gram masala powder 1 tsp
 
13: oil 1/2 cup

  1. ALOO MONGRAY

    1: heat oil and add onions, ginger & garlic paste cook on high flame till light golden.

    2: then add tomatoes, turmeric, cumin, salt, and red chilli cook on high flame till the oil comes on the surface.
     
    3: now add the mongray 1/2 cup of water, cover, and cook on low to medium for 10 minutes till the mongray gets soft and the water dries.
     
    4: after 10 minutes add the potatoes and 1 cup of water mix well, cover and cook on low to medium till the potatoes get cooked and the water dries.
     
    5: then in the end add gram masala, dried fenugreek leaves, and green chilli mix well and cook on high flame for 1 minute.
     
    6: Served hot with roti.
