Khajoori

Ingredients

1: Plain flour (maida) 250g

2: Semolina (sooji) 4 tbsp

3: Sugar powder 1/2 cup

4: Baking soda 1/4 tsp

5: Oil 1/4 cup

6: Ghee (clarified butter) 1/4 cup

7: Egg 1

8: Milk 1 to 2 tbsp

 

Instructions

  1. 1: In a bowl, add plain flour, semolina, sugar powder, baking powder mix it well and then add the oil, ghee, and egg and make it into a hard dough. If having a problem, can add a couple of tablespoons of milk.

    2: Make the dough and cover it for half an hour.

    3: Dusk the flour on the working surface and roll the dough with a rolling pin - 1/4 inch.

    4: Cut it into a diamond shape.

    5: In a pan, add oil and make it medium hot, and deep fry the khajoori till golden brown.

    6: Serve hot or cold.
