ALOO BONDA

Ingredients

1: potatoes 1/2 kg (pealed, boiled & mashed)

 2: onions 1 medium (chopped)

 3: green chilli 2 (chopped)

 4: curry leaves 15

 5: mustard seeds 1/2 tsp

 6: oil 2 tbsp

 7: lemon juice 4 tbsp

 8: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 9: salt 1 tsp

 10: crushed red chilli 2 tsp

 11: sweet corn 1/2 cup

 

 For Batter:

 

 1: gram flour 1/2 cup

 2: salt 1/2 tsp

 3: red chilli powder 1/2 tsp

 4: baking soda 1/4 tsp

 5: water to make batter

 

 Oil For Deep Frying

Instructions

  1.  1: boil and mash the potatoes.

     2: heat oil add mustard seeds, curry leaves, onions and fry till gets soft, on high flame.

     3: add potatoes, salt, red chilli, green chilli, lemon juice, turmeric, sweet corn mix well and leave it to cool completely.

     4: grease your palms and make balls.

     5: heat oil for frying.

     6: in a bowl add gram flour, salt, red chilli, baking soda and add water slowly, make a smooth batter.

     7: dip the balls in the batter and deep fry till gets golden.

     8: serve hot with sweet imli chutney.
