KADHI KOFTA RECIPE

Ingredients

For Kofta:

1: mince beef or mutton ½ kg
2: bread slice 1 large (soaked in water)
3: salt 1 tsp
4: red chilli powder 1 tsp
5: fried onions 3 tbsp
6: cashew nuts 9 (grind to a powder)
7: gram flour 1 tbsp (dry roasted)
8: garam masala powder 1 tsp
9: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp

 

For Pakora:

1: gram flour 1 cup
2: salt ½ tsp
3: red chilli powder ½ tsp
4: green chilli 2 (chopped)
5: onion 1 large (chopped)
6: baking soda ¼ tsp
7: fresh coriander 2 tbsp
8: water as required to make the batter
9: oil for deep frying
10: cumin seeds 1 tsp

 

For Masala For Kofta:

1: onion 1 large (grind to a paste)
2: salt ½ tsp
3: red chilli powder 1 tsp
4: ginger & garlic 1 tsp
5: coriander powder 1 tsp
6: oil ½ cup

 

For Kadhi:

1: yogurt ½ kg
2: water 4 cups
3: gram flour 8 tbsp
4: turmeric 1 tsp
5: salt 2 tsp or (to your taste)
6: red chilli powder 1 tsp

 

For Baghar:

1: cumin seeds 1 tsp
2: button red chilli 8
3: curry leaves 15
4: oil 1/3 cup

Instructions

  1. KADHI KOFTA RECIPE

     For Kofta:

     1: in a blender add all ingredients of kofta and blend till combined and smooth.

     2: grease your palms and make small balls and keep aside.

     

     For Pakora:

     1: in a bowl add all ingredients of pakora (except oil) and mix well.

     2: heat oil and add the pakora mixture in small sizes, fry till golden and floats, on medium flame, remove and keep it on paper towel to remove extra oil.

     

     For Making Kofta Masala:

     1: heat oil add onion, ginger & garlic paste fry on high flame till slightly changes colour.

     2: then add salt, red chilli, coriander powder, water 1/2 cup cook on high flame till the oil comes on surface.

     3: now add 1 cup of water wait for a boil, on high flame, then add the koftas, cover and cook till the water dries and the   koftas are cooked.

     

     For Making Kadhi:

     1: in a large pot add yogurt, water salt, turmeric, red chilli, gram flour mix well, place the pot on the stove and keep     mixing, cook on high flame till it starts to boil, then add the pokars, koftas, mix well and simmer in for 10 minutes, on   low flame.

     2: heat oil in a pan add, cumin seeds, button red chilli, curry leaves, fry it and add it on the kadhi.

     3: serve hot with rice or roti.
