KALONJI CHICKEN

Ingredients

 1: chicken 1 kg (cut in 12 to 16 pieces)

 2: onions 2 large (grind to a paste)

 3: thick greek yogurt 1/2 cup

 4: bullet green chilli 4

 5: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp

 6: green cardamom powder 1/2 tsp

 7: nutmeg 1/4 tsp

 8: mace 1/4 tsp

 9: salt 1 tsp

 10: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 11: kalonji 1 tsp (Nigella sativa)

 12: red chilli powder 1 tsp

 13: oil 1/2 cup

 14: fresh coriander handful 

Instructions

  1. KALONJI CHICKEN

     1: marinate chicken: add chicken, yogurt, ginger & garlic paste, nutmeg, mace, green cardamom powder, salt, kalonji,   garam masala powder, red chilli powder mix and leave it for 30 minutes.

     2: heat oil add the onion and fry till gets a darker golden colour, on high flame.

     3: now add the marinated chicken, mix and wait for a boil on high flame, then cover and cook on low to medium till the   chicken is cooked and oil separates (you can add water if have problem cooking, about 1 cup of water).

     4: then add green chilli, fresh coriander, mix well.

     5: serve hot with naan, roti.
