Kasuri Chicken Handi

Ingredients

 For Marination:

 1: boneless chicken 1 kg

 2: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

 3: black pepper powder 1tsp

 4: dry fenugreek leaves 2 tbsp (heaped)

 

 Other Ingredients:

 1: oil 1/2 cup

 2: cumin seeds 2 tsp (heaped)

 3: onions 2 large (grind)

 4: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp (heaped)

 5: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 6: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 7: tomato paste 1 cup

 8: yogurt 1 cup

 9: cream 1 cup

10: water 1 cup

11: bell pepper 3 small (cut in cubes & deseeded)

12: lemon juice 2 tbsp

13: fresh coriander handful

 

Instructions

  1. Kasuri Chicken Handi

     1: marinate chicken with the salt, black pepper powder, dry fenugreek leaves mix well for 1 hour.

     2: heat oil add cumin seeds, onion, ginger & garlic paste and fry on high flame till changes colour.

     3: now add red chilli powder, turmeric mix well add the marinated chicken mix and cook on high flame till the chicken changes colour.

     4: then add tomato paste, yogurt, cream, mix add water cover and cook on low to medium flame till the oil separates and chicken is cooked.

     5: add bell pepper, lemon juice mix, cover and cook further for 7 to 8 minutes.

     6: now add coriander leaves, green chilli mix and cook on high flame for 3 to 4 minutes.

     7: serve hot with roti, naan.
