Degi Aloo Gosht Recipe

Ingredients

 

 Marinatuon:

 1: mutton chop 1 kg

 2: corainder powder 2 tsp

 3: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

 4: red chilli powder 1 tsp

 5: crushed red chilli 1 tsp

 6: degi mirch 1 & 1/2 tsp

 7: turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

 8: ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp

 9: yogurt 6 tbsp

 

 Special Paste:

 1: yogurt 2 & 1/2 tbsp

 2: onions 3 medium (fried)

 

 Other Ingredients:

 1: ghee 1 cup

 2: bay leaves 3

 3: cloves 4

 4: green cardamom 6

 5: cinnamon sticks 3 pieces

 6: black peppercorn 1/2 tsp

 7: nutmeg 1/2 tsp

 8: mace 1/2 tsp

 9: potatoes 1/2 kg (pealed and cut in half)

10: bullit green chilli 3 (cut in half)

12: kewra water 1 tbsp

13: eggs 3 (boiled)

 

Instructions

  1. Degi Aloo Gosht Recipe

     1: in a bowl add the meat with all ingredients under marination mix well and keep aside for 20 minutes.

     2: in a blender add yogurt, fried onions grind.

     3: heat ghee add bay leaves, cloves, green cardamom, cinnimon sticks, black peppercorn, marinated meat and fry it on high flame for 4 minutes.

     4: add nutmeg, mace, yogurt and onions mixture mix and cook on high flame for 8 minutes.

     5: now add water 4 glass mix, wait for a boil on high flame then cover and cook on low to medium flame till the meat is tender.

     6: add potatoes mix cover and cook on low to medium flame for 10 minutes till the potatoes get tender.

     7: now add ginger, green chilli smmer for 4 minutes on low flame.

     8: add kewra water mix.

     9: garnish with boiled eggs, fresh corainder, ginger.

    10: serve hot with naan, roti, paratha.
