Double Caramel Pound Cake

Ingredients

 For Making Cake:

 1: salted butter 241g (room temperature)

 2: granulated sugar 1 & 1/2 cup

 3: light brown sugar 2 cups

 4: eggs 6 (room temperature)

 5: vanilla essences 2 tsp

 6: plain flour 3 & 1/2 cups

 7: baking powder 1 tsp

 8: milk 1 & 1/2 cup (room temperature)

  

 For Frosting:

 1: salted butter 115g

 2: dark brown sugar 1 cup

 3: vanilla essences 1 tsp

 4: milk (or) cream 1/2 cup

 5: powder sugar 4 cups

Instructions

  1.  NOTE: Preheat The Oven 15 Minutes Before 325f, Gas Mark 4, 165c.

     

     1: beat butter till gets light and fluffy.

     2: then add granulated sugar, light brown sugar and beat till gets combined for 5 minutes.

     3: add eggs one at a time and beat well.

     4: then add vanilla essences and beat.

     5: in a bowl mix plain flour, baking powder.

     6: now add the plain flour, milk and beat, continue this till the flour and milk is mixed and use a spatula to mix in  between.

     7: grease and dust flour in a bundent pan 10 inch.

     8: transfer the batter in the pan and place in the oven on the middle rack and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

     9: once baked leave to cool.

     10: in a pan add butter and melt on medium flame, add the sugar and whisk it for 3 minutes till the sugar mixes well with the butter.

     11: close the flame add vanilla essences and whisk then add milk and mix, leave to cool.

     12: add the powder sugar gradually and mix well till the frosting is nice and thick.

     13 :once the cake is cooled top it with the frosting.

     14: serve with tee, coffee.
