Simple & Easy Chicken Biryani

Ingredients

1: oil 3/4 cup

 2: onions 4 medium (finely sliced)

 3: ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp

 4: boneless chicken 1 kg (cut in small cubes)

 5: salt 1 tsp

 6: red chilli powder 2 tsp

 7: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 8: biryani masala 2 tbsp

 9: green chilli 4 (cut in half)

10: yogurt 1 cup

11: tomatoes 3 medium (finely sliced)

12: fresh coriander handful

13: rice 800g (boiled 80% with salt 2 tbsp, star anise 2)

14: kewra water 2 tbsp (mixed with) yellow food colour 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1.  1: heat oil add onions and fry till gets golden on high flame.

     2: then add ginger & garlic paste mix and fry for 3 minutes on high flame.

     3: add chicken and fry on high flame till changes colour.

     4: now add salt, red chilli, turmerc, biryani masala mix and add green chilli, yogurt, tomatoes mix and cook on medium flame till the oil seperates.

     5: add fresh corainder mix well.

     6: place the boiled rice on the chicken curry and add kewra and food colour mxture over the rice.

     7: cover the lid with a tea towel and place handi on high flame for 5 mnutes and simmer it on low flame for 12 to 15 minutes.

     8: serve hot with rita and salad.
