Moong Dal Ke Pakode

Ingredients

 

 1: moong dal 1 cup (i used 250ml)(i soaked it for 4 to 5 hours)

 2: green chilli 4

 3: ginger 1 inch (pealed)

 4: garlic cloves 6

 5: garam masala powder 1/2 tsp

 6: salt 1/2 tsp

 7: coriander powder 1/2 tsp

 8: red chilli powder 1/2 tsp

 9: cumin seeds 1 tsp (dry roasted & crushed)

 10: turmeric 1/4 tsp

 11: onion 3 tbsp (finely chopped)

 12: fresh coriander 1 & 1/2 tbsp

 13: baking soda 1/4 tsp

 14: oil for frying

  

Instructions

  1. Moong Dal Ke Pakode

     1: soak the dal for 4 to 5 minutes, over night or even in hot water to make the pakoras instantly.

     2: drain the water and grind coarsely, add very little water as possible and while you grind it stop mix and then grind.

     3: grind green chilli, ginger, garlic with a little water to a paste.

     4: in the grind dal add the green chilli paste, garam masala powder, salt, coriander powder, red chilli powder, cumin, turmeric, onion, fresh coriander mix well.

     5: add baking soda and mix well, add it just before you are ready to fry them.

     6: heat oil.

     7: add the mixture using a spoon or with your hands as shown in the video, fry on medium flame till gets golden, then place it on paper towel to remove extra oil.

     8: serve hot with and chutney of your choice.
