GOSHT KI TAHARI

Ingredients

 

 

 Marination:

 1: mutton 1/2 kg

 2: yogurt 1 cup

 3: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp

 4: red chilli powder 2 tsp

 5: salt 1 tsp

 6: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 7: lemon juice 1 tbsp

 8: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 

 For Rice:

 1: rice 1/2 kg

 2: onions 1 large (finely sliced)

 3: tomatoes 3 medium (sliced)

 4: green chilli 6

 5: bay leaves 3

 6: cloves 6

 7: green cardamom 6

 8: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp

 9: cumin seeds 2 tsp

 10: salt 2 tsp

 11: cinnamon stick 2

 12: oil 1/2 cup

 

 

Instructions

  1. GOSHT KI TAHARI

     1: marinate meat with the ingredients under marination, mix well and keep aside for 1 hour.

     2: heat oil add onions and fry till golden.

     3: then add cloves, cinnamon stick, bay leaves, cumin seeds, green cardamom, ginger & garlic paste mix and add tomatoes, salt mix and cook on high flame till the tomatoes reduce.

     4: now add the marinated meat and fry on high flame till changes colour.

     5: then add water and wait for a boil on high flame, then cover and cook on low to medium flame till the meat is tender and the oil comes on surface.

     6: wash rice.

     7: transfer the curry in a bigger pot and add the washed rice, water, green chilli and cook on high flame till the water dries.

     8: cover the lid with a tea towel and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes on low flame.

     9: serve hot and enjoy.
