CHICKEN JALFREZI KARAHI

Ingredients

1: chicken 1 kg

2: tomatoes 2 large (grind)

3: onions 2 medium (finely sliced)

4: bell peppers 1 medium any colour (cut in cubs)

5: cumin seeds 1 tbsp (dry roasted & crushed)

6: salt 1 tsp

7: red chilli powder 1 tsp

8: black pepper powder 1 tsp

9: bullet green chilli 2 (sliced)

10: ginger 2 inch piece (jullien)

11: oil 1/2 cup

12: fresh coriander 4 tbsp

 

Instructions

  1. 1: heat oil add onion, ginger and fry on high flame till gets soft.

    2: add chicken and fry on high flame till changes colour.

    3: now add tomatoes, salt, black pepper, red chilli, dry roasted cumin mix well, then add water 1 cup, wait for a boil on high flame and then cover and cook on low to medium till the chicken is tender and oil comes on the surface.

    4: then add bell pepper, green chilli and simmer on low flame for 5 to 8 minutes.

    5: add fresh coriander mix.

    6: garnish with ginger, green chilli.

    7: serve hot with naan, roti.
