HARIYALI DAL

Ingredients

1: chana dal 250g (soak in warm water for 2 hour and boil till tender with water and turmeric 1/4 tsp)

 2: spinach 1 & 1/2 cup (boil & grind)

 3: fenugreek leaves 2 bunches (boil & grind)

 4: onion 1 large (grind)

 5: tomatoes 2 medium (grind)

 6: ginger & garlic paste 1 tsp

 7: turmeric 1/2 tsp

 8: garam masala powder 1 tsp

 9: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

 10: red chill powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

 11: cumin seeds 1 tsp

 12: whole red chilli 4

 13: garlc 3 (sliced)

 14: oil 1 cup

 15: ghee 2 tbsp

 16: fresh coriander 4 tbsp

Instructions

  1. 1: heat oil add cumin seeds, onion, ginger & garlic fry on high flame till changes colour.

     2: add tomatoes, turmeric, salt, red chilli powder, water 1/4 cup, mix and cook on high flame till the oil comes on  surface.

     3: then add the boiled spinach, fenugreek leaves, dal mix well, wait for a boil on high flame and then cover and cook on low to medium flame till the mixture gets thick.

     4: heat ghee add garlic and fry till gets golden, then add whole red chilli, fresh coriander and add it to the cooked dal.

     5: then add garam masala powder mix.

     6: serve hot with RiceParatha.
