DONER KEBAB RECIPE

Ingredients

For Doner Kebab:

 1: onion 1 large

 2: breadcrumbs 1/2 cup

 3: salt 1 tsp (heaped)

 4: oregano 3 tsp

 5: garlic 8 or garlic powder 1 tsp (heaped)

 6: black pepper powder 1 tsp

 7: red chilli powder 1 tsp

 8: beef mince 500g

 9: lamb mince 500g

 

 

 For Serving:

 1: pita naan

 2: onion (finely sliced)

 3: cucumber (finely sliced)

 4: tomatoes (finely sliced)

 5: cabbage (finely sliced)

 6: sour jalapeno (finely sliced)

 7: lemon

 8: mayo

 9: hot sauce

 10: ketchup 

Instructions

  1.  VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE MINCE YOU IS SUPER FINE.

     1: in a chopper add onion, and garlic and grind till gets smooth.

     2: now add the mince, spices, and bread crumbs, and grind till gets super fine, then place in a bowl and mix well.

     3: preheat oven 180c, 350f, gas mark 4.

     4: place the mixture in the tin loaf, foil paper as shown in the video.

     5: now place them on a baking tray and bake them for 1 hour 20 minutes, if any water is left discard it (or till the mince shrinks).

     6: then remove the doner from the baking tray and bake for a further 30 minutes or till gets a golden color or u can cut in slices and fry it in a frying (no oil needed).

     7: cover it and leave it for 20 minutes.

     8: now cut in thin slices.

     9: warm the naan (can use plain naan too).

     10: make the sandwich as shown in the video with veggies and sauces of your choice.

     11: Served with fries and cold drinks.
