Ingredients

1: mutton meat 1 kg

2: thick Greek yogurt 2 cups

3: ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp

4: tomato paste 3 tbsp (from the tube)

5: salt 1 & 1/2 tsp

6: red chilli powder 1 & 1/2 tsp

7: turmeric 1/2 tsp

8: khoya 1 cup (or check my Ricotta Cheese Khoya Recipe)

9: green cardamom powder 1 tsp

10: nutmeg 1/2tsp

11: mace 1/2 tsp

12: cream 8 tbsp

13: onions 2 large (grind to a paste)

14: oil 3/4 cup

15: fresh coriander handful

16: green chilli 4

17: water 6 glasses

 

Instructions

  1. Badshahi Gosht

    1: marinate the meat with tomato paste, turmeric, ginger & garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, and yogurt mix well and leave it for 2 hours.

    2: heat oil add the onion and fry till it changes color on high flame.

    3: now add the marinated meat mix it, add water wait for a boil on high flame, then cover and cook on low to medium flame till the meat is cooked and oil comes on the surface.

    4: then add khoya, cream, nutmeg, mace, green cardamom powder, fresh coriander, and green chili mix well, and cook it further on high flame for 2 to 4 minutes.

    5: serve hot with Naan.
